South Frontenac Township Fire Department

History

South Frontenac Township was formed through amalgamation in 1998. The following fire departments were merged to form the new South Frontenac Fire Service:

• Bedford Township Fire Department
• Loughborough Township Fire Department
• Portland Township Fire Department
• Storrington Township Fire Department

Future Plans

The Department began changing to a new apparatus striping scheme in 2024. It consists of a black stripe bordered by yellow stripes. This will be applied to most apparatus not due for replacement.

• Pumper to Replace Pumper 331, late 2025
