The Service des incendies de Saint-Nicolas ceased to exist as of January 1st 2002 with the amalgamation of the city of Saint-Nicolas with the City of Lévis. Cities of Saint-Nicolas and Bernières amalgamed in 1994, the fire department under the name service des incendies de Bernières-Saint-Nicolas during two years, before that the service des incendies de Saint-Nicolas served the city of Bernières.
