The Régie incendie Massawippi was created in 2014 with the amalgamation of the Service de Sécurité Incendie d'Ayer's Cliff and the Service de Sécurité Incendie de Hatley.
Régie incendie Massawippi was merged with other area fire departments to form Régie intermunicipale de prévention et de protection incendie Memphrémagog Est in 2017.
