The Quantum was a custom fire apparatus chassis built by Pierce.

History and Overview[]

The Pierce Quantum was first introduced in 1995 and redesigned in 2005. The Quantum is known for its protruding grille, large front bumper, and unique automatic folding steps, that fold in & out when the cab doors are opened & closed. The folding steps have since been used on other Pierce chassis. The first Quantum chassis was built for Williamsport Volunteer Fire and EMS in 1995.

As of March 2023, the Quantum (along with the Arrow XT) has been removed from all official Pierce websites (excluding drawings and previous orders), indicating that the product line has been discontinued.
