HistoryEdit

Oliver Paipoonge Township was created in 1998 through the amalgamation of the Township of Oliver and the Township of Paipoonge. Each municipality operated its own fire department - Oliver Township Fire Department with stations in Kakabeka Falls and Murillo, and Paipoonge Township Fire Department in Rosslyn, Slate River and Stanley.
