Lake of Bays Township Fire Department

History

Lake of Bays Township was formed through the amalgamation of the Townships of Franklin, Ridout and portions of the Township of McLean. The Franklin Township Fire Department and McLean Township Fire Department merged to form the new township fire service.

The Township signed an agreement with the Town of Huntsville in 2012 to jointly manage fire departments in the two municipalities. Huntsville Fire Department provides management, administration, dispatch, training, and fire prevention services.
