Innisfil Fire and Rescue Service

History

In 1994, the Township of Innisfil was amalgamated with the Town of Cookstown to create an expanded Town of Innisfil. The Cookstown & District Fire Department was merged with the township fire department.

3	7896 Yonge Street, Stroud	ca. 1950-2002	Originally the Innisfil Township Police station and fire hall (prior to Station 3 designation). It also served as the Township Municipal Offices until 1972. Upon closure, it was turned into space for retail.
2	885 Hofland Street, Lefroy	1970-2015
4	23 King Street North, Cookstown	1994 (amalgamation) -2015	Former Cookstown and District Fire Station. In 2015, this station was closed and torn down to accommodate a new station on the same site.

Future Plans

The Town of Innisfil 2024 draft budget plan has put aside 1.2 million dollars for a new pumper to replace the current one out of Station 1.
