History
In 1994, the Township of Innisfil was amalgamated with the Town of Cookstown to create an expanded Town of Innisfil. The Cookstown and District Fire Department was merged with the township fire department.

Future Plans
- After a long delay, construction of a new Station 5 started in June 2018. The completion date is unknown and the building will be located on the corner of 25th Sideroad and Big Bay Point Road. A temporary station is in place on Friday Harbour property to house 2 units.
