The Orillia Fire Department was founded in 1875.

Fire Station 27 Peter Street North 1875 - 1960 Rebuilt in 1896 to add horse bays, hose tower and newer amenities. Local historic building. Currently rentable office and residential units.
Fire Station 68 West Street South 1960 - 2014 Sold to Simcoe County and repurposed as an EMS station. Units were relocated to 500 Gill Street upon new stations completion.
