History[]

Elizabeth-Kitley Township was formed in 2001 through the amalgamation of the previously separate Townships of Elizabethtown and Kitley. Each township operated its own fire department, namely the Elizabethtown Township Fire Department in Lyn and New Dublin, and the Kitley Township Fire Department in Frankville.
