History[]
Burleigh & Anstruther Township was located in northern Peterborough County. The largest community was Apsley. In 1998, Burleigh & Anstruther were amalgamated with Chandos Township to form the Township of North Kawartha. The two fire services merged to form North Kawartha Fire and Rescue Services.
