HistoryEdit

Alnwick-Haldimand Township was formed in 2001 through the amalgamation of the Townships of Alnwick and Haldimand. Each municipality had its own fire department, namely the Alnwick Township Fire Department in Roseneath and the Haldimand Township Fire Department in Grafton and Centreton.

Future PlansEdit

The new fire hall that has been proposed for Roseneath will now be a joint facility with Northumberland Paramedic Service. Land has been purchased for the new facility at the north side of County Road #45 at the intersection of Halstead Road. Northumberland County and Alnwick/Haldimand Township are finalizing the building layout and site plans. Completion date has not been established.
